The NRSPP are excited to welcome Dr Darren Wishart. As a core team member. Dr Wishart has joined the Australian Road Research Board as a Principal Scientist in their Safe Systems team.

Dr Wishart has extensive experience in the field of road safety, and has already provided a wealth of valuable knowledge to the NRSPP team.

Dr Wishart has over 15 years of previous experience in road safety research and has a particular focus on transferring research knowledge in practical industry application. He has previously worked as a fleet safety research fellow with CARRS-Q at the Queensland University of Technology. Furthermore, he has previous experience in management positions in the private business sector, and has operated as an organisational consultant in both the public and private sectors. He has worked on numerous fleet safety projects, based on a wide-ranging number of topics. However, he has a keen interest in work related road safety and motorcycle safety. Dr Wishart has also provided expert guidance and led a project on the development a safety management system for the public transport sector in Jakarta.

Dr Wishart is a registered psychologist and is an accomplished public speaker and workshop facilitator, delivering numerous seminars, workshops and public speaking engagements on work related road safety and motorcycle safety both nationally and internationally. Dr Wishart obtained his Masters degree in Organisational Psychology from Griffith University and his PhD in Assessing Driving Risk in Industry: Designing and implementing a work-related road safety risk assessment measure appropriate for industry settings from the Queensland University Technology
