- What’s in the Pipeline?
Some Key Achievements:
- NRSPP turned seven and a comprehensive evaluation of the program is underway, to be completed by September.
- NRSPP released its third road safety organisational campaign focusing on driving tired. The campaign, ‘With My Eyes Closed…’, was an NRSPP-led collaboration with Monash University Turner Institute, FleetStrategy, Monash University, Essential Energy, Amalgamotion, ArmourPlus, Country Fire Authority (CFA) and Road Accident Action Group (RAAG).
- NRSPP Tool Box Talks and Organisational Road Safety Campaigns have been downloaded more than 1,000 times since June, when they were made free, and are now linked to the NSW Government’s has launched a new online tool kit.
- NRSPP established the Construction Logistics and Community Safety – Australia (CLOCS-A) Memorandum of Understanding to formalise the Steering Group (SG) and Supporting Partners behind adapting Transport for London’s CLOCS to Australia. The SG held a planning workshop on May 27.
- NRSPP Program Director, Jerome Carslake, featured on a number of panels and external webinars such as:
- Roads Australia Spotlight on Safety on the Safer Vehicle Panel held in Brisbane on was held on the 6th of May.
- The National Bulk Tanker Association Bulk Tanker Day 2021 was held 11 May in Brisbane on Mental Health of Truck Drivers with Healthy Heads Trucks and Sheds CEO Naomi Frauenfelder, Dr Ross Iles of Monash University and facilitated by Felix Ohle of Viva Energy.
- Share the Load Podcast by OzHelp’s Health in Gear
- Empowr Mobility, NRSPP’s social initiative:
- Completed its first Victorian Department of Transport Funded pilot in collaboration with Coffey Ford, Bendigo Salvation Army, Mildura Sunraysia Assist and Wynbay.
- Was accepted into Swinburne 2021 Generator
- Commenced a second pilot, funded by TAC in partnership with Ganbina.
- NRSPP was a Program Partner in the Re:act Program, which ran in Melbourne, Sydney and, for the first time, Perth between March and June. See the winners below:
