NRSPP Monthly Achievements May 2024
- NRSPP released its sixth organisational road safety “Are you Roadworthy?”.
- The NRSPP delivered the following webinars in April:
- The 2024 Re:act is well underway,with NRSPP mentoring the students at Swinburne University of Technology in Victoria, concluded on April 18th, and Curtin University in Western Australia, reaching its halfway point on April 22nd.
A positive campaign that educates and raises awareness of 17-25 year olds, and ultimately changes their behaviour, to not be distracted by mobile phones either as a pedestrian or as a driver.
- The On-Demand App Delivery Working Group met to finalise a set of workplace road safety principles for their sector. The Principles are near final but have been placed on hold until the pending industrial regulations have been released.
- The NRSPP has formed a Vehicle Toolbox Talk Working Group which will be developing 20 new light vehicle Toolbox Talks; and the Grey Fleet Working Group which will be revisiting the Grey Fleet Guide to test, update and apply it plus develop 10 Grey Fleet Toolbox Talks.
- The NRSPP Independent Chair Professor Emeritus Jude Charlton attended:
- The Industry Reference Group – National Level Crossing Safety Committee on the 16 April; and
- National Road Safety Conference on the 18 April which was the first day of a the Road Safety and Policing Ministers meeting which acted as a stakeholder consultation day to seek to reduce the rising road trauma.
- Under the NTARC2.0 Partnership NTI’s Spilt Milk Project has been integrated into the NRSPP website.
