Earlier this year, Altus partnered with students from the Monash Industry Team Initiative (MITI) program to develop a discussion paper on opportunities to improve safety in the traffic management industry. The paper is being distributed widely with TMAA seeking to promote and encourage feedback from industry players with a keen interest in a safer industry.
The students were tasked with identifying the potential drivers – technological; regulatory; and industry structuring – that had the greatest potential to achieve zero harm to people on worksites over the next decade.
In that sense the work is forward looking, with the final report Altus’s contribution to the various policy discussions and initiatives that are taking place across a variety of jurisdictions.
