The Monash University Accident Research Centre partnered with Alex Fraser to create several digital Toolbox Talks for the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP).

The road safety program includes a series of interviews specific to the heavy vehicle sector and allows companies to share the Toolbox Talks to inform and educate their drivers, and develop a positive road safety culture. Alex Fraser participated in this program alongside other transport companies, including Qube and Toll.

Director of the NRSPP Jerome Carslake explained the importance of making driver safety information readily available to everyone.

“It’s so valuable to have drivers sharing their insights with; it allows other organisations to learn something about other businesses’ road safety initiatives.”

He adds, “I had a call from a truck driver a few weeks ago, thanking us for  the Toolbox Talks. He’s a smaller operator who runs two trucks. He said he was so happy that smaller operators could now access the kind of quality, engaging truck safety content that is usually only be available to big business.”

Mr Carslake says safety ambassadors like Alex Fraser drivers are helping to debunk the stigmas attached to heavy vehicle operators.
