Road Mode is a new Android app from VicRoads to reduce driver distraction. It silences incoming calls and text messages while driving and those calling or texting receive an automated text letting them know that the person is driving and can’t answer. Road Mode provides a summary of the calls and messages received during the trip when the person arrives at their destination.
Steps for using Road Mode:
Before you drive, open Road Mode on your Android phone.
Activate Road Mode by pressing start to silence incoming calls and text messages while you’re on the road.
Callers receive an automated message letting them know you’re driving.
When you reach your destination, touch stop to receive your missed calls and texts.
