When you drive, you have plenty of control of your vehicle. Unfortunately, this often means it can become ‘second nature’ to us, making us more vulnerable to distractions and other hazards. Driving is often more complex, interactive, and riskier  than other methods of transport, all the while being also less controlled. It is important to make sure we always keep in touch with good driving habits, and make the necessary checks before our journey to ensure a safe driving environment.

Preparation is key to a good journey. Are you familiar with traffic conditions, your route, and what the weather should be like? Are loose items put away in the glove compartment or boot, and is your mobile phone in a safe place where it won’t distract you? Considering all these factors will help you have a safer journey and more focused when driving.
