Chain of Responsibility (CoR) provisions in transport law recognise that on-road behaviour and outcomes are often influenced by the actions and undertakings of parties other than the driver. The aim of Chain of Responsibility is to ensure that any party with the power to control, influence, prevent or encourage on-road behaviours has a duty of care to ensure their transport activities are safe.
