RACV through Melinda Spiteri joined SUMV which included two core elements, delivery of the guide and the communications and engagement strategy. RACV assisted with human factors and policy guidance in the development of the SUMV Guide, the whole working group delivered:

- Melinda Spiteri joined Jerome Carslake, NRSPP, and David Fitzgerald, Telstra, to sit on a panel for a Safer People sponsored breakfast discussion in relation to the SUMV guide, how organisations can implement it and learnings.
- TAC A Road Safety Leadership Forum August 2016 hosted the launch of the guide.

RACV through NRSPP joined the Swinburne University Partnership Road Safety Student Campaign focused on driver distraction. What resulted was the establishment of Re:act to facilitate the annual establishment and growth of the initiative.
