Optus through Geoff Hoad joined SUMV which included two core elements, delivery of the guide and the communications and engagement strategy. Optus was a direct funder of the B2B video with Telstra and Vodafone. The purpose of the video was to provide leadership by seeking to engage other organisations around establishing a safe use of mobiles in vehicle policy, the whole working group delivered:

- TAC held their Road Safety Leadership Forum August 2016 hosted the launch of the guide. As part of the launch a panel session was held which Geoff Hoad was present on.

SA Power Network kindly hosted the first NRSPP Utilities Forum on the 22 July 2015 at Oaks Plaza Pier Hotel at Glenelg. Optus attended the forum and shared insights in relation to the Utilities Sector. What resulted following this forum was the establishment of an amazing network within the utilities sector.
Optus was to host the 2020 Utilities Forum at their campus located in Macquarie Park. The forum has been delayed as a result of COVIID-19.
