NRSPP Welcomes new Summer Interns!

NRSPP welcomes three new summer research interns: Thrishna Briet, Casey Noseda, and Nathan Kong to the team!
A core element of NRSPP is its research and data collection, which informs evidence-based strategies for improving road safety across Australia. This summer, we are pleased to welcome a group of research interns who will support our ongoing projects and contribute to key areas of road safety research.
Thrishna will be looking into the unloading/loading of trucks within the retail and grocery sector with a focus on electronic pallet jacks, Casey will be working on Q&A’s on emotional fatigue in relation to work-related driving and Grey Fleet Culture, and Nathan will be researching safety culture, the benefits of a champion and risks of not having or losing one.
“I am a third-year Civil Engineering student with a keen interest in road and traffic design, as well as geotechnical engineering. Outside of my studies, I enjoy sewing, cycling, visiting art galleries, and exploring metal casting. This summer, I am excited to join the MUARC team and look forward to contributing to meaningful research in road safety and safety culture.” – Thrishna
“My name is Casey, and I have just completed my second year of a Bachelor of Psychology. I’m thrilled to join the MUARC team this summer, driven by my passion for neuropsychology. Outside of my studies, I enjoy reading, baking, volunteering and drawing.” – Casey
“Hi, I’m Nathan. I am currently studying the Bachelor of Psychology at Monash University. I’ve just finished my second year and hope to later complete postgraduate studies and work in a clinical field. In my spare time I enjoy playing in chess tournaments and learning new skills. The most recent of which have included playing the guitar and juggling, though not at the same time.” – Nathan
