Are you Ready for Safe Work Month Next Month – The NRSPP is!

Next month is National Safe Work Month 2025 has your organisation got something planned?
The vehicle as a workplace is often out of site and out of mind. The task of managing driving for work
risk often viewed as too hard, only relates to traditional fleet or just the vehicle, the domain of
professional heavy vehicle drivers and the term “grey fleet” is entirely alien.

To assist the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) will be launching a range of new
tools and updating its Program Partner tier.

The NRSPP has had a number of Working Groups in place over the past 18 months which have been
co-designing and testing these tools which will include:
 Partner Measures Assessment Tool to become a Program Partner which help
partners understand their workplace road safety maturity and be provided an Action
Plan on how to improve overtime and collaborate with the NRSPP. The tool includes:
o Themes
 Assets
 Environment
 External Stakeholders
 Organisation
 Technology
o Evaluation Areas
 Policy and Processes
 Systems and Reporting
 People and Culture

 Grey Fleet Safety Management Model (GFSMM) which has 13 sections which will provide a
maturity score per section and overall. For those who become Program Partners the tool will
provide a report for Actions over the short, medium and long term. The new model includes
a range of supporting tools, guides and case studies which can assist.
 Translation of NRSPP’s top heavy vehicle toolbox talks into Arabic, Simplified Chinese and
Punjabi.

Once the NRSPP achieves a critical mass of Program Partners and GFSMM Partners, the reports will
be updated to provide indication of how the partner compares to peers. Partners will be expected to
update their partnership status annually to remain current.
