WorkSafe – WA

WorkSafe is the Western Australian Government agency responsible for the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984. It is a division of the Department of Commerce.
WorkSafe aims to reduce workplace fatalities and injury and disease rates in accordance with national targets, by:
– reducing high incidence/severity risks
– improving the capacity of business operators and workers to manage occupational safety and health effectively
– preventing occupational disease more effectively
– eliminating hazards at the design stage, and
– strengthening the capacity of government to influence occupational safety and health outcomes.
