Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and the Department for Transport (UK)

The website contains information on a range of topics, with links and case studies where you can find out more. The heart of the website is the ‘E-valu-it’ toolkit, which asks you to complete a set of questions about your intervention and provides you with recommendations and a partly completed report template for you to complete your evaluation.

No matter whether you work in a local authority; for one of the emergency services, for a charity or any other organisation: if you are putting time, money and effort into conveying road safety messages to any type of road user – you will want to know whether what you are doing works! So will the people who are funding what you do – especially in the present economic climate!

This website has been developed to help you to evaluate the interventions you have developed, and to help understand how they could be improved.

At the heart of the website is ‘E-valu-it’ – a tool which helps you pin-point what you are doing and why, with lots of ‘reality check’ practical tips, which then leads you through to a set of recommendations of how to go about evaluating what you are doing – it even produces a template for you at the end to fill in your own results!
