As a Timber Manufacturing Business in the Asia Pacific Region, Timberlink face various compliance regulations that must be adhered to. One of these is to ensure all transport operations to and from their Timber Sawmills in Australia and New Zealand are following the NHVR guidelines and going above and beyond all COR obligations. As they contract vendors to supply these services they are faced with numerous challenges to ensure each carrier have systems and procedures in place that operate safely and follow all Laws and Codes of Practice. The presentation shows the journey through this systemised approach and Timberlink’s 5 year plan.

Jason Furtner has been in the transport industry for over 30 years, with experience as an owner driver in the 1980’s through to senior operations at multinational organisations including Operations Manager at UTC, Visy Group and more recently Timberlink ANZ. Having worked on both sides of the supply chain it provides an holistic view for transport regulations for both drivers and manufacturing divisions.
