As part of National Road Safety Week, the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) is releasing its annual organisational road safety campaign. This year the focus is on car park safety.

Car parks are inherently dangerous spaces that many of us visit regularly, whether it be for work or day-to-day activities.

For insurers and businesses, car parks represent the top minor collision claims for their mobile workers. For pedestrians, they can pose a significant risk of injury or in more severe cases, death. Road safety is a shared responsibility. However, this is often forgotten, when navigating a car park whilst running late, feeling stressed or on a schedule.

Some of the key topics to be covered in this webinar include:

  • understanding car park incidents through insurance data

  • the dangers of car parks

  • methods of parking

  • the influence of vehicle technology on parking

  • car park design issues

  • ideas for the improvement of car parks

The webinar will also include an overview of the NRSPP 2022 Car Parks Campaign which will be available for download off the NRSPP website in May.
