What does road safety mean to Toll?

The safety of staff, contractors and the communities in which it operates is Toll’s priority, always. As the largest professional road user in Australia, Toll aspires to a leadership role in helping to make our roads safer. That, couple with its core value of safety, has seen it make road safety its group-wide corporate responsibility focus.

Toll is strongly committed to raising awareness and increasing education around road safety, with two major sponsorship initiatives. Since 2013 Toll has partnered with Australia’s leading cycling advocacy group, the Amy Gillett Foundation, and in 2016 Toll also became the major National sponsor for Australia’s iconic community road safety initiative, Driver Reviver.

    Toll Group is recognised as one of the Founding Partners of NRSPP with Shane Falkiner kindly helping design and build the foundational elements of the program during its establishment phase.

    Shane was an incredibly passionate contributor. A quiet contributor who everyone listened to intently when he shared his valuable insights.

    Shane attended the formal launch of NRSPP as part of the third UN Decade of Action gathering in Melbourne at the RACV club. The program was formally launched by Prince Michael of Kent on the 5 May and featured as part of the starting of meeting.

    In 2017, NRSPP held the inception co-design workshop for Suicide in Road Transport (SiRT) which Nestlé attended and actively contributed to. Nestlé has continued as a partner of the SiRT National Working Group since it was started.

    Nestlé has continued to contribute to SiRT which is now in stage 2 with a major national project funded by Austroads and being delivered collaboratively by NRSPP.
