Following the highly-successful panel discussion at Mobility 2021 in September we’re excited to resume the discussion around open data.

Transport departments across Australia are advocating open data as the best pathway to enabling industry to innovate and give customers more information and choice. That’s the theory – but how has it been working in practice?

In a warts-and-all-discussion, transport data leaders from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland will share their open data journeys. What have been the biggest surprises? What difference has it made to their customers? What would they do differently?

They will also discuss how they have worked across jurisdictions, the impact of COVID on their plans and what they’ve got planned next.

Panellists:

Catherine Rooney – Executive Director, Strategy, Innovation and Data Insights – The Victorian Department of Transport

Simone Roberts – Executive Director, Advanced Analytics & Insights – Transport for NSW

Dusty Miller – Director (Digital Solutions) – Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads
